Serafini is a Juris Doctor, magna cum laude and also a Doctor
of Chemical Engineering. Educated in the United States and
Europe, he speaks English, Italian, French and German fluently,
and is conversational in Spanish.

Serafini is a member of the Bars of the State of California and
of the District of Columbia. He also is licensed to practice
before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He is
a member of the American Bar Association, the San Diego
County Bar Association, and the American Inns of Court.

Serafini began his career in the corporate sector, working in
the United States and internationally in the aerospace,
electrochemical and durable medical equipment sectors. He
has practiced intellectual property law with one of the largest
law firms in San Diego and founded Serafini Associates (now
Themis) in 2003 as an intellectual property boutique law
practice specializing in patents, trademarks, trade secrets,
and unfair competition.
